Calcutaors & Tools
fsu’s financial aid office is always your best source of information, but the following tools can get you started with estimates and other resources to help you plan your college finances. these calculators are not part of the fsu website.
this calculator can give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a college freshman attending school full-time. the net price calculator will only give you an estimate of your net price and aid eligibility. completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes.
the fafsa4caster enables students and parents to get an early estimate of their eligibility for federal student aid. students are encouraged to try out the fafsa4caster during their junior year of high school.
the college board website offers several excellent calculators to help you figure out how to pay for college.
the irs data retrieval tool allows students and parents filling out the fafsa to transfer income data directly from the irs website into the fafsa, no paper shuffling necessary. the irs data retrieval tool is not always available, though, and some might not be eligible to use it. the parents page has more information.
